2 posts in one week! I'm back baby!

There are a few things I wanted to share with all of you.

1. Will has slept in his big boy bed for 3 nights in a row. I wasn't ready for him to make the switch, but he obviously was.

2. Monday we went to Hobby Lobby and I told Will what the store name was. He has been saying "Lolly Bobby" ever since. He can say Hobby and Lobby, but not together.

3. Will is working on learning Bible verses...just one a month right now. It's so cute. He pretty much knows his verse from this month, Proverbs 3:5, and today he randomly said it without any prompting. Now we need to work on the "children, obey your parents..." verse. We are working on teaching him what obey means. Not an easy task!

We are still here and alive!

OK, I have been a HORRIBLE blogger. I was all gung-ho at the beginning...how did I have the time to write those posts the first 3 months?? After Will's birthday I was scrambling to get ready for Christmas. After Christmas I went into a panic realizing I only had a little over 2 months to get Will's big boy room ready, and Baby Girl's room ready.

Here's an update for the last 2 months...

Will's school had Santa come for pictures with the children -
Will would NOT sit on Santa's lap...he wouldn't even stand next to him for a picture!


Brad and I wanted to have a cocoa party in late December when the weather got chilly. We had the get-together, but not very many people wanted cocoa. It was December, but it felt like a beautiful Spring Day. Will had fun with his little friends, and we had fun with some of ours.

I couldn't resist posting this picture. Will said he wanted to go potty one day...and he pointed to Mommy and Daddy's bathroom and said "that bathroom". When he sat down I started to coach him on how to go potty, but he interrupted me and turned around and said "Wait, I need a magazine." He really does want to be just like his Daddy.

Yes, I actually dressed Will in this outfit. What can I say? I love my husband more than I love my Alma mater (and I know I can secretly teach Will all of the Aggie songs and yells during the day when Brad is at work)

We went to see Brad's parents right before Christmas and took advantage of a nice day. We went to the Cameron Zoo (in Waco.) I was very impressed...it is a really cool zoo with fun stuff for kids to do. Here is will going down a tree house slide.

Our first Christmas celebration was at Brad's parent's. This year Will got Christmas more than last year. He could open his presents and wanted to play with them right away. It was a lot of fun to watch him. He also enjoyed singing and dancing to Christmas songs. His favorite seemed to be "Jingle Bells." He usually sang "jingle bells, jingle bells.....all the way" and would repeat that again and again.

One of my favorite memories from the Christmas season was going to Target with Will. We were looking for some angel ornaments. When we got to that section of the store I asked Will to help me find some angels. He proceeded to call out in a very loud voice "Angels....are you?!?" again and again. It was very cute.

We did the state tour as usual, visiting all of the family. We spent Christmas Eve with Amy's Mom and family, and Christmas Day with Amy's Dad and family.

Each of the last 3 years we have been able to stuff all of our things and all of the Christmas gifts in our car with the 3 of us. We know the day is coming that we will probably need a bigger car. With gas prices and what type of vehicle you can get for your money we have talked about getting the "M" word. Minivan.

Will enjoyed his gifts as well as ours. Here he is wearing his Daddy's new boots. For him it's like chaps and boots all in one!


At the end of our tour we went to Austin to see Brad's brother and his family and our friends Trent and Sara who live in Boston. We had lunch by Lake Travis...beautiful view!


After we got home and got a little settled in, we went to the zoo with our friends from church. Here are some of the boys checking out the animals.

Will really enjoyed the petting zoo this time...he made sure to brush each goat and sheep there.

Baby Girl is soon to arrive and having a baby shower made me realize that even more.

Sorry for the long post...I wanted to give a good update. In these next 5 weeks (hopefully 5!!) we are planning on getting the kids rooms put together and find places for all of the stuff we had to move out of the guest room. It looks like a tornado has struck, but I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and will be glad when it is all finished.

I will be sure to post pics of the finished rooms that we've been working on.

I am scheduled for a C-section on March 6th, so that's when we will have our little girl, if not before then!
