Today was a good day. Brad got a good night's rest, which always helps. Nana and Granddad met Grandma and Papaw and did a grand kid swap. Then Nana and Granddad brought the kids up to see us. This visit seemed to go really well. Now that Brad doesn't have a jungle gym coming out of his leg the kids aren't afraid to get close to him. Will and Carissa had fun playing with the trapeze on Brad's bed and they had fun pushing us around in our wheel chairs. They were very sad to leave and Will kept asking if I was going home with them. I wish we could all just stay in one place all together. We will get to do that soon, Lord willing!
Brad's physical therapy right now mostly consists of him trying to stand using his arms and having a little weight on his right leg. It takes all of his energy to do this. It's almost been 3 weeks since the accident, so it's been a long time since he's used his legs. He lifts weights to strengthen his arms. He wanted to go outside today to get some fresh air, so he wheeled himself downstairs. Good thing he's warm natured since it was chilly out!
Brad's parents also came today, and they are making sure we never run out of homemade goodies and Czech Stop kolaches. They are staying the night in Dallas and will visit some more tomorrow. Brad's brother and brother's family are coming tomorrow as well, so it should be a full house around here.
